Just like last year, Hohensee won't score on Mallonee...

Yes MG, PC wrestlers generally get worse as they progress (actually, I think that's an oxymoron). Just look at Dunkum and Gunnels....or the other 100 state champs they've had in the last 5-6 years.

Mallonee WBF

oh, nevermind...I didn't know Hohensee went to OSU wrestling camp...Mallonee is screwed!

I read today that Mallonee was athlete of the week and can take on 3 defensive lineman at a time, and now I don't think that he went to OSU camp. I think Achilles is right, Hohensee will probably kill him now!

Is there anyone else that can walk on the mat with these two?

My guess is that every opponent of their's will each have to do just that.

Ok, is there anyone that is capable of competing with either of those two?

Ok, is there anyone that is capable of competing with either of those two?

Drew Dawson (Fulton) and Leland Seymour (Warren County), and maybe Kevin Bunge (Mexico).

That's competing, not beating.

Did Oak Grove have a good HWT last year?

MG_Grievous
09-24-2005, 11:57 AM
I forgot all about Williams.

I'm projecting he'll be top 4 this year. Maybe finals, who knows. He did pretty well as a sophomore last year.

Did he wrestle Mallonee or Hohensee last year?

Williams only lost to mallonee by like 2 points or something like that. If I remember correctly he was ahead for a little while.

Mallonee does just enough to win I think. I'm excited to see HWT at Columbia this year.

I might be wrong, but didn't Fisher from McDonald County beat Houk from Bolivar at Districts? So I would move him up and move Houk down since the four guys from the district that qualified are all returning this year.

1. Honnese - Monett
2. Fisher - McDonald County
3. Houk - Bolivar
4. Nobblitt - Republic

The top 4 I listed on teh other post was the districts results from last year, but I would go with

1. Hoenssee-Monett
2. Mallonnee-Platte county
3. Seymour-Warren county
4. Dawson-Fulton
5. Bunge-Mexico
6. Fisher - McDonald County

Mallonee won't get beat IMO. It's hard not to pick a returning 2xer go for number 3. Hohensee got pushed all over the mat the semi final match last year against Mallonee.

The match was 2-0 right? Um I would say that is a close match..... I watched it and it seemed about as close as a match could be. Im not saying that Hoensse will tear him up but in a close match like last year anything can happen and I'll always take the person who loses a close match in the rematch over the person who won the first time.

The score was close but the match was not. Hohensee wasn't in the match. Mallonee won't major anyone but he dominated the 2-0 match and Hohensee didnt take a step forward in 6 minutes. Remember its heavyweight.

houk did get beat by fisher but fisher went two and out last year and houk beat phillip geeding (from savannah who was ranked at the time last year when houk beat him at state) last year at state by pinfall and fisher just got lucky against houk anyway i saw the match and all fisher did was stand there ansd stall and never got called once houk was actually trying to win and do moves and could not get a move done on some one who just stalls and defends although he is pretty good at it but he will never place i think

Here, Fudge, maybe this will help you out.

Houk did get beat by Fisher, however, Fisher went two and out last year at state. Houk beat Phillip Geeding (from savannah) last year at state by pinfall. Geeding was ranked at the time. I think Fisher just got lucky against Houk. I saw the match and all Fisher did was stand there and stall but he never got called for it. Houk was actually trying to win and do moves but he could not get a move done on some one who just stalls and defends. Although Fisher is pretty good at stalling, I don't think he will ever place at state.

Dont be so quick to trash Fisher, he wrestled injured all last year.He has been a very sucessful little league wrestler in missouri and nationally. He has found the metal stand many times.I know little league isnt highschool but Fisher has pontential to medal, and I wouldnt be surprised to see it happen.

I also saw that match where Fisher and Houk wrestled. Im not sure if you are aware but neither of these guys are explosive shooting machines so "stalling" happens quite a bit at the HWT level. I also watched the state match and it was a very close pull it out in the last couple seconds win for Houk which could have ended either way.

I personally believe the three guys that took 2nd 3rd and 4th are all about even and it should be a fun district to watch. Fisher beat Noblitt, Noblitt beat Fisher so they are even. I watched Fisher beat Houk and im not sure if they wrestled before earlier in the season. Houk has beat Noblitt every match but Noblitt did have Houk on his back for quite a while at districts. I don't know, I would say put Big Ben on the medal stand and these three are gonna battle it out.

Fisher is a talented wrestler and he has found the medal stand many times in little league. Houk has also and he has been overshadowed by hohensse his whole wrestling life. Houk has never beaten Fisher they wrestled in little league. Noblitt is just a sophomore and Houk has beaten him with his expirience and knowledge. Houk is also probably the worst neutral wrestler I have ever seen and likes to wrestle on the mat, that is how he beat geeding at state last year.
