I just hear that Jonathan Taylor, a freshman at MoBap (4x Florida State Champ) beat Ethan Kyle of OSU. Not too shabby.

That's I just "heard".

Upon further reflection, JT is a sophomore, not a freshman.

Since he is actually a sophomore, does that change you original conclusion; that is, that the result IS too shabby?

Not really.

I guess he must have passed his freshman year? :-)

Robo is back? Rob Bojanski??
That’s right! My friends call me Bo, my mother calls me Rob, the ladies call me BoBo, as in Ohhhh Bo Bo stop, don't, stop, don't stop bo bo....
You guys can just call me RoBo. That way I won't get confused about who is calling me. If you called me BoBo I might have a reaction and it wouldn't be my slide rule growing in my pocket. You know us engineers say test it to its breaking point!

Now did I hear right that this J.T. was injured all week?
I remember that guy, he seemed like a pretty smart guy. What happened to him? What would he have had to say about this NAIA guy beating Kyle?

No luck so far on finding the brackets, I have been looking all morning for them. If anyone knows where to find them please post it.

I received the following response back from an email I sent requesting results.

Thanks you for your interest in SoonerSports.com. The results for the open are on the wrestling page in the story about the Oklahoma Open.
Thank you again for your interest.
Thanks,

I think this is what he is referring to. Still not brackets.

Congrats Taylor Hosick from Oklahoma State taking fourth at 174lbs. He is a former Missouri high school wrestler.
Yes, congrats to Taylor; OSU has really put some size on the boy. Always good to see a young man fulfill a dream, and wrestling for the Cowboys is no small feat.

Saw that Flaggert beat Askren. Didn't Max beat him earlier this year? Anyone know the score of this second match?

Askren defaulted the match and went home.

Max didn't wrestle, he defaulted (from what I heard). Didn't want to wait around to wrestle, and went home. Apparently there is a long time-span between semis and finals. He already dominated Flaggert once, and probably figured "why waste my time again"....

too slow \:D/
I believe the four to five hour delay between semis and the finals is what convinced Max to leave. OU was playing OSU and the coaching staff wanted to watch the game, thus delaying the finals.

the OU Open is a joke
No doubt, the format and amount of down time proved questionable; however, much of the competition proved quite entertaining as several solid and some outstanding talents were on display.

I'm sure it was.......however, it would be nice to see who placed where. I can't find any results/brackets anywhere. The OU SID should be fired, and Castiglioni (sp?) should be embarrassed.

Jonathan,
Those results we have; brackets we do not have, and can't find. I am wondering why that is.
