y'all can do better than that
Best wrestler all around Conn or Mango, Best wrestler on his feet(witch can win you a ton of matches) Q-man. He was only scored on one time at state. He gave up a takedown in his first match, and dominated from there.

Conn didn't give up any takedowns only a reversal to someone he has wrestled three times recently and who has been coached specifically to beat him. No comparison IMHO.

I guess we know who voted for Ed
He did have a fantastic year though. Congratulations to him for a job well done.

I don't think anyone forgot Drake. But this is the class 3 forum not class 1.
Best in St. Louis Drake Hovis; very possible I think that if he and Conn were the same weight it would be a very good match. To close to call for me anyway they'd have to settle it themselves.

Mango-A foot shorter than everyone else, and completely ignored till he won his first title. I don't believe anyone has come further in a shorter amount of time, being that he didn't wrestle till his frosh year. He still is improving.

I would have to go with Conn, then Miller, as 1 and 2

Hovis is good and has the body of a college wrestler, but I am not sure he has the feet of a bobby conn or spenser mango.
Mango has the most to prove, and has the superior work ethic so in a BIG match I take mango over conn. JMO

Peterson, Conn and Hovis pound for pound are the best technicians and wrestlers in the state. Caputo, O'donnel and Rouse second. Mango would be third along with Kusick and Nay. Sanguinet, Lammert and Wiest would round out the top six. Swagman, Sherry and Cantrell would all tie for 7th.
I'd rank the Moore brothers but MSHSAA may find something wrong with that and kick me off the forum.
I'd rank Tulley about 15th (still very good). Others may disagree but hey that's what this forum is for. 8)

There are many good wrestlers from the east side of the state that deserve to be mentioned in the voting. My vote goes to Farmington's Craig Wilson. He might only be a sophmore, but that kid can wrestle, he leaves every bit of himself on the mat.
